My article is structured in two parts. First part: (Malala: A Gem that Dazzled) is about what the world is watching, perceiving and reacting to the whole issue and the second part: (Gul Makkai’s Story yet to be unfold) is about what facts and figures lies behind it where we as common men are unable to reach to. I would leave the conclusion on my readers to draw whatever picture they are more comfortable with.
I’ve written this piece after observing that the hype is still in air and she has recently landed on Time’s 100 most influential list….After this I wonder what mainstream media could do and how strongly it effects the thought process of our present world !!
MALALA: A Gem that Dazzled
Malala is not just a name but a strong character, needless of any introduction. But I, as a writer would outline the background for readers to fully understand my article. Malala belongs to Swat Valley, located in the Northwest of Pakistan, was once known as “Switzerland of Pakistan” because of it lush green hills, ice-topped mountains, shimmering lakes and spellbinding beauty. It was the most revenue generating valley from tourism as Malam Jabba in Swat is the only skiing spot in Pakistan. It doesn’t end here and the beauty with spirit runs within its people, who makes this place more welcoming and attractive. Traditions, that are being followed in Swat Society are quite tribunal about their land, culture and their people. They are inclined towards men dominance and often keep their woman for households. People of Swat are physically strong, courageous and audacious. Malala, an exceptional gem of Mingora Swat is a living example, who took a step and stood hard to fight for her rights in a very respectable way. She was exceptionally precise but firm with her views about Taliban and their activities in the name of Islam but almost anti-Islamic. The fight in Swat Valley is a way old traumatic insurgency which started in 1990s, when Sufi Muhammad with his militants declared to impose Shariah through arms and threats for those who resist. The situation entered a turmoil when Pakistani Army interfered to stop undue practices in 2007. Both ends agreed on a peace treaty but it didn’t last long and soon in 2008, the situation was more than worst. Taliban left no rock unturned to impose their rules and ultimately announced a deadline on radio for all girls schools (private or public) to end up till 15th January 2009. Malala with rosy cheeks, sparkling eyes and bright smile felt crippled with this saddening news. At the age of 11, she suffered which no child would ever want to dream about. Corrosive Violence, bloodshed and threats ruined all colors from her childhood. She was isolated in her house which made her lift her pen to pour out her misery and helplessness. Her innocent mind was unaware of the spell, her words would cast across borders. She wrote a diary for BBC in Urdu under a pseudonym “Gul Makkai” about her everyday experiences and fears that sickened her every single moment. As far as I’ve read her blogs, it is more about the undue violence, threats and the ban on girls education. She expressed that she was depressed about her friends and relatives who started migrating to other cities for the sake of their education which her father couldn’t afford. She felt hard about the markets, parks, museums that were once happening are now deserted and demolished. In short, her blogs served enough to stir up curiosity and inquisition within and across borders. On revelation of her original identity, Malala was nominated for An International Children’s Peace Prize and later she was awarded with National Peace Prize (2010) in Pakistan. In her speech, she said, ” Those were the darkest days of my life. She provoked youth to get educated at any cost as she used pen as a sole-medium against barbarism and extremism. She looked confident, determined and ambitious about her future goals. Her unflagging determination and excellence beyond age was a sign of social, political and educational shift in Pakistan.
Her growing fame and engagements on national and international media was an indirect attack on TTP(Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan). On October 9,2012, she was targeted and brutally gunned with two bullets, one is neck and one in head as per reports(………..) . TTP took responsibility of the attack again as per media(…………) .According to TTP, she was a rebel against Islamic Shariah and would be a real threat for young girls in the near future. Unlike (in Pakistan) but fortunately, Malala and her friends got timely treatments which was initially enough to save their lives. Malala who thought to be severely injured was later shifted to Birmingham through air ambulance for further treatments. It is now in report that her progression towards health is speedy.
Amazingly, the story looks as simpler as a fairy tale, Malala as Cinderella was chased by her enemies within her own people but she still made her name which would be written in golden words for ever. But I couldn’t help being a Nancy Drew because there are speculations that require strong evidences. As I mentioned earlier that this part is about what the world watched and accepted but it could be a highly developed plan which is being discussed later in the second part. I strongly disagree with a thought against girls education and all extreme activities in the name of Islam, but it is essentially important to investigate whether they are done by true Muslims or disguised men as Muslims. There is a possibility that a plan is sown to destabilize Pakistan with whatever means fits in best.
Gul Makkai’s Story yet to be unfold!!
It was very suspicious when a name “Abdul Hai Kakkar “flittered around the whole story and the world ignored it because media was purposely ignorant to expose the original character of the story. Abdul Hai Kakkar is a reporter of BBC News Urdu , who thought to showcase the intensity of Taliban edict about forbiddance of girl’s schools. He met Ziauddin Yousafzai in 2008, who runs a chain of schools to request if he could arrange a girl who could narrate him the sufferance in her own words.
“Malala Yousafzai’s father was my friend and he was running a school in the Swat Valley. I talked to him because [I was hoping] he could find a schoolgirl for me. He tried for days and called me back and said nobody was ready to talk because everyone was afraid of the Taliban. But he hesitantly told [me] that if I agreed, then his daughter could work with me. Then I contacted her and started the diary”.
Ziauddin Yousafzai was sharp enough to judge the hype and fame one would get and prepared his own daughter (Malala) to speak over it. Abdul Hai Kakkar in his interview mentioned,
“I talked to her and told her, “You can tell me on [the] telephone what you did that day, what you thought, what were your feelings, and what you saw.” So [I told her] just share with me and I will take notes and then I will write it down. So, from my wife’s telephone number I would call [Malala] because her [my wife’s] phone was safe. So we used to talk to each other for 30 minutes each night for five or seven days [in a row]. Then after that I would send it to BBC English and Urdu to publish”.
It clearly shows that Malala did not write her diary on her own and the fame of her courageous words was partially a self constructed hype. Secondly the intensity drawn in BBC Blogs was not Malala’s own writing, it was written by Abdul Hai Kakkar who might have elicited but smoothing in child’s narrative to give realism. We are all equally responsible who let media play and plug in the power regardless of what conspiracy they hold against under the label Humanitarian Umbrella. I cannot let go Adul Hai Kakkar words in his interview:
This [diary encouraged] … people to hate the Taliban and they unanimously condemned them. All the people are with Malala — I would say 180 million people [Pakistan’s population] are with Malala. So, it [highlights] what she meant for the people. She was a kind of a celebrity for them and they have an attachment with her. She is symbolizing the rights for [girls’] education. She shook the entire country and [only] now the people are debating and talking about how to fix the Taliban, army, and jihadist mindset and the militants.
The words quoted above shows that people try to create situations to infuse hatred for Taliban and to propagate and defame the people of Pakistan. To follow up where is Abdul Hai Kakkar now?? Why is he being cut off as a slice from this flavored cake?? It wasn’t only he who had been working but there are few more like Adam B Ellick who worked on Malala’s documentaries. Where are these people and why aren’t they being taken into custody for investigation?? It reminds me of Raymond Davis who murdered who Pakistani citizens on a busy road and was released easily. The US Embassy also reiterated the same stance – in strong words. “The United States Government once again calls upon the Government of Pakistan to abide by its obligations under international and Pakistani law and immediately release the American diplomat illegally detained in Lahore. The US Embassy reiterated to the Government of Pakistan today that his continued detention is a gross violation of international law.” IS THIS HUMANITY FOR WHICH U.S STANDS FOR?? WHERE IS UNO?? Unfortunately, It looks very easy to work in Pakistan because the government of Pakistan is nothing but a shameless puppet, works for U.S agenda for better aid money and leverages.
The point which requires more of our concentration is what drives agencies like CIA, MI6 and RAW to work in Pakistan and why mainly our northern areas are being targeted?? Have we forgotten that lately German Spies BND were caught dressed in “BLUE PAKHTUN BURKAS”. Smart Choice because no one can stop them or uncover the person for security check even. The first and main reason is that our northern part is tremendously rich and blessed in almost all dimensions. Rich in natural resources, geographically well shaped with defensive high mountainous range and beautiful landscape but these are not the only reasons. Underdeveloped infrastructures, less connectivity and no social or political interference by neighbouring cities are proved to be feasible for outside sources to win their own agendas. Secondly, the people of northern areas are very much similar to white skin and their physical built. The picture below gives a great idea how a foreigner could easily get into our Taliban looks. If one can do it, God knows how many are there fooling around our people in the name of Taliban. People of northern areas are limited to their own language, region and are not socially or politically well aware of the twist and turns. At the same time, they are deprived of worldly pleasures so to earn a little sum of money, they get easily convinced to cooperate regardless of what repercussions the nation would face.
Malala and her father are also seen with Richard Holbrooke, a U.S diplomatic and military former official deputed here in Pakistan to represent Afghanistan and Pakistan. Why?? Why only Malala out of 18 billion people with majority of young girls?? Pakistan have high scores of exceptional talent who write blogs, articles, diaries and have courage to address the world but why only Malala? Why Malala was being saved and other innocents are drone killed?
Coming up to some more serious concerns, Malala was so called shot at a point-blank range in head and neck and was miraculously saved by Pakistani doctors and was later airlifted to Britain for future re-constructive surgeries. But we being fooled cannot digest the fact that Pakistani doctors removed her bullet without shaving her head. HOLD ON!! I still remember my childhood when my mother suffered a brain tumor and she had been shaved for almost every surgery (minor or major). Now take a look at the picture given below, it seemed that the masterminds of the plan were indecisive about her injury.
PROTEST AGAINST U.S DRONE ATTACKS:
Here I want to remind readers that Malala’s attack was right after the protest which Imran Khan, an opposition leader in Pakistan initiated against U.S Drone Attacks. He marched on October 6, 2012 towards South Waziristan with huge number of people from Pakistan and across the world against U.S Drone Attacks. Imran Khan looked confident about having a dialogue with Taliban over their insecurities and affirmations that they need from the government of Pakistan. Thousands of children, youngsters, men and women have been killed for a doubt that U.S have about Taliban in Waziristan. Pakistani government tried its best to remain composed but simultaneously tried their best to stop this march. They involved army to stop them, caused hindrances through container and funniest part was that they said: the water in Waziristan has been poisoned and the people would suffer thirst. U.S and Pakistani government knew that once Imran Khan would meet Taliban, their self created reasons for drone attacks would end up in vain and many serious issues will surface against them. Recently from House of Lords U.K, Lord Nazeer Ahmed, a labor politician stated in a local newspaper “Telegraph” that attack on Malala was a self cooked nasty plan of Pakistani Government to scare people from approaching Taliban for dialogue or negotiations.
ONE WORLD ORDER:
I might look crazy to readers that what am I upto?? But Globalization is not only about licking same flavors but also about chewing same stones. The issue of Occupy Wall Street is fresh and needs constant drilling. The purpose to bring in this issue is to make people realize that the agenda is same for all but the strategy is different to crush 99%. The agenda is to infuse One World Order through making rich richer and poor poorer. In this race, people would transform themselves to anything to remain economically and socially safe regardless of what religion they belong to. If someone resist to this change he or she would automatically be swept in the run. 1% asserts all its power to implement their ways and people adopts it at any cost. To implement this order 1% is on their schedule to condemn or kill people who resists. Stop and look around….and the journey begins from Palestine….Iraq…Afghanistan…Pakistan…..Syria…..Burma…. and the petty crises goes on and on!! unfortunately the leaders that we have are guinea pigs and morons. When we as common men are able to conceive the hidden truths then how can they complain of being unaware. This excuse is a piece of rubbish that nobody could bear.
Are we really unaware of the facts what Angelina Jolie, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Oprah Winfrey were or are part of??? Why don’t they just be in the places like Burma to protect humanity where hundreds of innocents are being killed for no reason then being a Muslim.
Malala as a young courageous girl stood to speak for Swati girls but she was more being manipulated and exploited for bigger gains. No complains for people who do not belong to this region and it is hard for them to understand the originality of the issue but the local anchorperson, hosts, news reporters are well aware of the grounds and still remained silent.
Regardless of being a Pakistani or a Muslim, all these incidents are not logically accepted even if implemented. Hypocrisy would soon be uncovered as drop after drop makes a Big Hole to flush out double standards and hypocrisy which is considered bad not only in Islam but in Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism etc.
